Donald D. Knowlton, 71, of Stetson Terrace died unexpectedly Monday, January 30, 2012 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital in St. Johnsbury after being stricken at home.
Born on May 30, 1940 in St. Johnsbury, VT, he was the son of David W. and Lucille B. (McDowell) Knowlton.
Donald was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired steelworker and retired from Carpenter Steel in Bridgeport, CT.
He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast.
He leaves his wife Pauline M. (Cadieux) Knowlton of St. Johnsbury Center, VT; A son Douglas Knowlton of Florida, two daughters Christine Ponton and Gail Christian both of Florida, A step-son Louis Lacroix of St. Johnsbury, VT, a step-daughter Claire Goodwin of Woodsville, NH A brother Duane Knowlton of Lyndonville, VT, Two sisters: Janet Grant of Lyndonville, VT and Jean Pasell of Sugar Hill, Georgia. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews
Services will be private. Burial will be at the family lot at Lyndon Center Cemetery in the spring.
